OUR FRAMEWORK IN ACTION
STUDENT LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
- A two-week immersive and intensive camp held each summer that introduces students to the core principles of personal and civic leadership through workshops, hands-on projects, and mentorship.
- Bi-weekly workshops offered in partnership with local schools and youth organizations to reinforce leadership skills and provide continued mentorship
- Activities include self-assessment and goal-setting, public speaking and communication labs, ethical leadership case studies, outdoor team challenges, and service-learning projects
- Each participant completes a “Leadership Changemaker Plan”, a personal action plan outlining individual strengths, growth goals, and a community impact project to complete during the following school year.
- Students apply their leadership training to real-world service initiatives. These projects are student-designed and community-focused. For example, library reading contests, organizing food drives, peer mentoring programs, or local city beautification projects.
- Mentors guide students in project planning, budgeting, and reflection, ensuring that leadership training translates into tangible community benefit

ADULT LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Leadership is a collective effort. Our adult programs empower parents, educators, administrators, and community members to become effective role models and active agents of change within their own spheres of influence.
- Family Leadership Academy
For parents, caregivers, and family units dedicated to nurturing future leaders at home. This program provides practical tools and training focused on modeling positive leadership behaviors, effective communication, conflict resolution, and building a strong growth mindset that reinforces the principles learned through CLL.
- Educator Leadership Academy
Designed for teachers, counselors, coaches, administrators, and staff in K-12 settings. The Academy equips adults with advanced competencies—including emotional intelligence, restorative communication, and coaching techniques—to inspire students and build positive school cultures where leadership is an integral part of the daily experience.
- Community Partnership Leadership Network
Connecting community leaders (business executives, nonprofit professionals, civic officials) to students and schools. This network serves as a vital mentorship hub, offering role model opportunities, internships, and project sponsorships that give youth firsthand exposure to ethical, purpose-driven leadership in action across all sectors of life.

CLL CERTIFICATION SYSTEM
Through a tiered certification system, participants demonstrate mastery of key leadership competencies and become active contributors to a community-wide culture of leadership.
- Student Leadership Certification
The Student Leadership Certification serves as the capstone credential of the Changemakers Leadership Lab experience, recognizing students who have demonstrated mastery of key leadership competencies through learning, application, and service .
- Emerging Leader Certification
The Emerging Leader Certification introduces students to the foundational principles of personal leadership and character development. Designed primarily for middle school students and high school students new to leadership development, this certification focuses on building self-awareness, confidence, emotional intelligence, communication skills, and personal responsibility.
- Community Leader Certification
The Community Leader Certification recognizes students who have progressed beyond personal leadership to actively contributing to their schools and communities. Participants strengthen their skills in collaboration, problem-solving, conflict resolution, civic engagement, and project leadership while applying leadership principles through community service and team-based initiatives.
- Changemaker Leader Certification
The Changemaker Leader Certification represents the highest level of student achievement within the CLL leadership pathway. Awarded to students who have demonstrated sustained leadership excellence, this certification recognizes individuals who have successfully designed, led, and evaluated significant community impact initiatives while serving as mentors and role models for younger participants. Changemaker Leaders exhibit advanced competencies in strategic thinking, ethical decision-making, resilience, innovation, and servant leadership.
THE STUDENT EXPERIENCE
Students learn leadership by practicing it. Throughout the program, each participant completes a leadership and strengths assessment, sets personal and academic goals, and engages in interactive sessions that build self-awareness, confidence, communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
Students apply what they learn by working with peers, connecting with a mentor, and designing and completing a community impact project. They then present their learning and results and leave the program with a personalized leadership plan that guides their continued growth in school, career, and life.
THE ADULT EXPERIENCE
Sustainable student development begins with prepared, confident, and aligned adults. We engage educators, staff members, families, and community partners through practical leadership-development workshops, facilitator training, coaching, family learning events, implementation planning, resource tool-kits, communities of practice, and progress reviews.
This is not additional theory for already stretched professionals. It is focused capacity building that strengthens the work they are already doing, equips them with practical tools and shared approaches, and creates a consistent network of support around every student.
